Informed Consent
Engaging in psychological services involves working together in a way that is collaborative, transparent, and grounded in your wellbeing. This page outlines key information to help you make an informed decision about participating in therapy.

Nature of Services Psychological support may include exploration of experiences, emotions, relationships, and patterns. You are welcome to ask questions at any time, and we will work together to determine the approaches that feel most useful and appropriate for you.

Your Rights You have the right to participate at your own pace, to ask questions, to decline any intervention, and to request changes to the direction of therapy. You may withdraw from services at any time.

Confidentiality Information shared in sessions is confidential. There are specific situations where confidentiality cannot be maintained, such as when there is a clear and immediate risk of harm, or when disclosure is required by law (for example, a subpoena). These limits will be discussed with you.

Privacy and Records Your personal information and clinical notes are stored securely in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and relevant state health records legislation. Further details are available in the Privacy Policy.

Fees & Cancellations Session fees are processed through a secure Stripe payment link. You will receive this link on the day of your appointment, and payment is completed after the session.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may incur a $90 late‑cancellation fee, which is also processed via a Stripe payment link sent on the day of the missed appointment.

I understand that unexpected things can happen. If you’re unable to attend due to circumstances outside your control, please let me know — we can discuss the best way forward.

Telehealth If sessions occur via telehealth, you are responsible for ensuring a private and safe environment. Telehealth has similar benefits and limitations to in‑person therapy, and we can discuss what feels most supportive for you.

Questions You are encouraged to ask questions at any time. Informed consent is an ongoing process, and we will continue to check in together as therapy progresses.
